It has now been more than a year since the excellent ISLRR meeting that was held in Malaysia. The local hosts did a fantastic job of both educating and entertaining us. Applications for membership in ISLRR are now available on this website. Dues are $100 and the term of the membership is 3 years. We encourage you to support our organization and by doing so, support excellence in vision rehabilitation clinical care and research. As a paid up member you will receive a reduced fee to attend the next tri-annual meeting in Australia. We hope to have bi-monthly email information and announcements.

People from a variety of disciplines work in the field of research and development for rehabilitation of people with vision impairment. This includes ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptists, physicists, psychologists, therapists, physicians, and clinical healthcare professionals, among others.
Research into vision impairment is becoming increasingly important because of the predominance information exchange which require vision, such as books, journals, video, and computer monitors. In addition, this kind of research and development is important because of the importance of vision in such practical tasks as driving.
